Enjoy the ladin way of life in Alta Badia
Wonders are a question of your... viewpoint! And we have plenty of viewpoints here in La Crusc. Here are a few suggestions for a magical nature walk in Alta Badia, as your gaze wanders over the wide meadows and forests and the legendary peaks. Take a look and choose a panorama – you will fall in love with the wonders... at first sight.
All the colourful magic of the Dolomites, resplendent in intense pink, coral and orange hues. The spectacle can be admired at Razuns where, returning from the Armentara Meadows, you can find the Enrosadira panoramic point: from a comfortable bench, shaded by a marvellous tree, there are magnificent views over the village of Badia and its surrounding peaks, especially the majestic Sas dla Crusc that at sunset is ablaze with the beautiful colours of the famous “enrosadira” of the Dolomites.

A world of Ladin history and culture at your feet: the Viewpoint La Crusc is located just above the Santa Croce Sanctuary, where an enchanting wooden bench with a heart-shaped carving invites you to admire the solemn pilgrimage destination from above with, in the background, the mountains of the Puez Odle Nature Park. Discover the historic and spiritual nature of a place that has preserved its Ladin roots over the centuries.

A panoramic walk to admire the valley from above: follow path no. 15 at the foot of the imposing Sas dla Crusc range to reach the Alta Badia Overview with its spectacular views of the Puez Odle Nature Park.

Take path no. 15 then descend towards Rüdeferia, where you will be greeted by the Viewpoint Lavarela, an extraordinary lookout with spectacular views of the peak of the same name and other mountains of Alta Badia.

Admire nature surrounded by peace and quiet: cross the Frana di Gianëis landslide to reach the Viewpoint Le Chît and its panoramic bench, from where you can see the devastating results of the landslide that hit the area in 2012. Still intact beneath the site of the landslide is a small group of typical farmsteads.

The Viewpoint La Val is well signposted with an arrow and lies just a few steps from path no. 15A, which leads from La Crusc to the Armentara Meadows. From there can be enjoyed spectacular views of the valley and the peaks of the Puez Odle Nature Park: large panoramic maps identify the mountains that rise majestically before you.
