Fund for the Modernization, Safety, and Decommissioning of Ski Lifts and Snowmaking Systems

The company Seggiovia Santa Croce S.p.A., by virtue of the grant decree dated December 14, 2023 (protocol no. 33771/23), obtained approval of the executive project, with assignment of CUP code J30B24000000008. This concerns the project proposal submitted by the Beneficiary and admitted for funding in the amount of €5,438,931.24, financed under the Fund referred to in Article 1, paragraph 592, of Law no. 197 of December 29, 2022. The funding supports initiatives aimed at promoting tourism attractiveness and encouraging tourist flows in mountain areas and ski resorts, through the implementation of renovation, modernization, and maintenance works on cable lift systems and artificial snowmaking facilities.

The project involved replacing the obsolete 4-seater chairlift “LA CRUSC 1” with a modern and safer automatic 10-seater gondola lift, in order to reduce waiting times at the valley station and facilitate transport for children and people with disabilities. As a result, the leisure and hiking area of the region has also been enhanced, allowing improved access to the entire ski area, including the upper section leading to the Sanctuary of Santa Croce.
