Gliding on cross-country skis in La Val
Three trails, totalling six kilometres, invite you to enjoy Nordic skiing in the magical snowy world of the Armentara Meadows at the foot of the majestic Sas dla Crusc. The La Val cross-country area is a rare and precious gem, located amid peace and tranquillity where you can find some of the quietest possible ski trails: reachable only on foot in about twenty minutes, access is not without its difficulties (such as the need to carry your gear) – but the effort is rewarded once you arrive at the destination. It is one of the purest wonders of Alta Badia, with three trails (almost) all just for you!
To reach the cross-country area, start at the village of La Val: about ten minutes by car will take you to the car park at La Cialciara in the hamlet of Furnacia. Set out on the well-prepared and marked trail with your equipment to arrive at your destination in about twenty minutes, then discover the intimacy of cross-country skiing amidst the silent beauty of the Armentara Meadows!
