The Dolomite forest, the alpine hut and the lake
Starting from the historic La Crusc pilgrimage church, descend towards Castalta on path no. 13. Crossing the forest, you reach the lovely Pasciantadù hut, where you can taste authentic rustic fare. After taking a break, continue on path no. 7A to the Lech Dla Lé alpine lake; its crystal-clear waters present a picturesque landscape, with the wall of the Sas dla Crusc reflected in a pristine mirror set among the trees.
Here, those interested in biology can attempt to identify the different species of insects and amphibians that inhabit this magical lake. The walk ends with the themed trail “In the footsteps of wild animals”, where wooden statues and information boards illustrate the local fauna, such as owls, foxes and eagles. At the end of the tour, we arrive at the Lé hut and the middle station of the La Crusc ski lifts.
