Extreme challenge in the Dolomites
Since spring 2019, extreme sports enthusiasts in La Crusc can try their hand at a new, exciting challenge: the “4 Peaks Alta Badia”. The goal? To conquer all four peaks in just one day: Sasso Santa Croce (Sas dla Crusc, 2,907 m), Cima Dieci (Piza dales Diesc, 3,026 m), Lavarella (Lavarela, 3,055 m) and Cima Conturines (Conturines, 3,064 m). This is a record-breaking feat, whether for mountaineers who decide to complete it in different stages (earning the title of “Alta Badia Finisher”) or, for the more ambitious, overcoming the challenge – a total of around 11 hours – in the space of a single day.
With the spectacular Dolomites always before you, the tour – for experienced climbers only – includes well-marked stretches and paths, but also via ferrate (fixed rope routes) with exposed and sometimes unsecured sections... for that extra adrenalin kick. For those who would prefer to manage the challenge in complete safety, there is a “light” variant that takes longer (about 14 hours) but avoids the exposed sections.
How does it work? Simple: register online at 4peaks.it and you will receive the 4 Peaks Card which, once you reach the summit, is to be marked using the special punch provided at the checkpoint on each peak. You completed the challenge in one day? You’ll not only receive a diploma and a medal in recognition of your achievement... but also a place of honour on the online Wall of Fame!
Ready for the challenge? The 4 Peaks Alta Badia are waiting for you!
